Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION):
Overall, the article makes a point that when the white population is compared to blacks and Hispanics, they’re numbers are lower when it comes to teenage pregnancy. However, all numbers for all races have decreased. Studies believe this to be because teens are having less sex or are using more protection.
Credibility of Source:
Author or Site: Who is the author? What training have they had? If there is no author, examine the site. What is the purpose of the site? Who funds the site?
The author is unknown to any type of background credibility. He is simply giving evidence of information that was already thought to be true, through the interest of MSNBC.
Attachment: Does the author or site have anything to gain from writing this, or is it simply informative? For example, is it a cigarette business posting an article about the benefit of cigarettes, or is it a scientific community unaffiliated with the cigarette business?

Other than giving evidence for what people already thought to be true, the author is only giving answers through statistics.
Bias: Do you detect a bias (a favoring of either side) in the author's writing?
I don’t detect any type of bias because all of the information is based of study and results in numbers of teenage pregnancies.
References: Does the author cite references in the writing? If so, do these add or take away from the credibility?

The author does cite references in the writing and also uses statistics, making it that much more credible.
Use of Source: How will you use this source in your project?
I plan to use this site and information to support that numbers can decrease over time and have done so. I will also use it as an example to show how each race contributes to the numbers of teenage pregnancies.
